For the Popular category, I managed to catch up with Maringo and asked him a few quick questions:
[17:10] Duranu Razorfen: Hi, hope i’m not interrupting, but mind answering a couple questions in regards to the contest?
[17:11] Maringo Serrati: no, I don’t, ge ahead
[17:11] Maringo Serrati: go*
[17:11] Duranu Razorfen:
thanks, this will all be postied in a blog of mine.
[17:11] Duranu Razorfen: first of all, how’s it feel to win the popular vote?
[17:12] Maringo Serrati: Feels great. I’ve been putting a lot of effort in it the last few days and it does pays off.
[17:12] Duranu Razorfen: How long did it take you to bulid the bike?
[17:12] Maringo Serrati: (You might spellcheck it, since English is not my native language
)
[17:13] Duranu Razorfen: it’s alright ![]()
[17:14] Maringo Serrati: well, It’s a bit hard to say. The bike itself was done in about 5 days, including sculpties and textures. But the script I’ve been working on for a few weeks to make it react perfectly
[17:14] Duranu Razorfen: do you have your own shop?
[17:16] Maringo Serrati: I do. It’s a small one now, but I’m busy with building a whole sim, where my larger store will be. Some things, including this bike, arent for sale in-world, only on XStreet
[17:16] Duranu Razorfen: will be looking forward to seeing the shop. Anything you’d like to say to any aspiring builders out there?
[17:17] Maringo Serrati: Practice makes perfect.
Colthen Caeran was a little busy, but was kind enough to answer where he got his bikes for his 1st place win in the Owners category. “The Black “16″ Bike comes from Deep south Choppers and the the Florida Gator Football Bike was a custom Built for me by Hed Lockjaw of Hed Lockjaw Choppers.”
Bud Starsider had the following to say on his 1st place win of the builder’s category:
